Unlocking Sites for Residential Development

Supporting property developers to delivering homes people need

Astrum Planning have worked along a number of small, and medium size residential developers and strategic land promoters - to deliver much needed housing across Yorkshire and the North West.


Our role was to guide each application through a comprehensive planning and design process including:


  • Local Plan representation to secure the allocation of land for residential development to minimise planning risk

  • 5 Year Housing Land Supply calculation

  • NPPF new methodology calculation on housing need

  • Formal pre-application discussions

  • Discussions with key consultees including environmental health, housing, ecology, drainage and highways

  • Engagement with local residents and stakeholders

  • Strategy to achieve no net loss and 10% biodiversity net gain. This included engagement with local wildlife trusts and the Environmental Bank.

  • A suite of technical documents to support and justify the planning 

  • Secure consent, including legal obligations and advice on onerous conditions
